One of the most brutal matches in All Elite Wrestling history, the Blood and Guts is returning as the official challenge has been laid down by The Elite during the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.
The show was kicked off with the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland who said that he witnessed Will Ospreay defeat Kenny Omega at last year’s Forbidden Door PPV, but this year the story will be different.

The Elite interrupted the promo session and they announced that they would be competing in this year’s 5-on-5 Blood and Guts Match. The group also wanted Swerve to join them as the fifth member but the wish was declined.
The Elite were about to attack Swerve, but The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn made the save. Later, Tony Schiavone announced that Blood and Guts will take place on the July 25 edition of Dynamite in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena.

An official poster was also released on AEW’s social media page regarding this upcoming gimmick match as The Elite looks forward to completing their fray with the fifth member. There’s no update on who their opponents will be.
Since the reformation of the faction, The Elite won the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing. As the EVPs of the AEW, they regularly boast about putting away names like Eddie Kingston, FTR, and even the President, Tony Khan.
In more announcements on Dynamite, MJF will return to the ring for the first time in nearly six months during next week’s commercial-free edition as he will take on his latest opponent Rush in the opening contest.
An AEW Tag Team title eliminator bout is also scheduled for the June 19 episode where the Tag Team Champions Matthew & Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks will face Max Caster & Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed.
