AEW Dynamite: Title Matches and Champion vs. Champion set for 250th episode

International Champion Will Ospreay will put his title on the line, next against one of the four pillars of All Elite Wrestling, MJF in the opening contest of AEW Dynamite’s 250th episode, next week.

In the opener of Dynamite, MJF issued a challenge to Ospreay in a promo session, and Ospreay quickly accepted the match. Ospreay also called MJF out for his heel-turn against Daniel Garcia from last week’s Dynamite, but MJF only appeared on the trot.

The commentary team noted that MJF was not at the arena and that the video aired from an undisclosed location. The challenger then threw down the gauntlet for next week’s title bout in a promo.

A champion vs. champion match is also set for next week’s AEW Dynamite 250 where the World Champion Swerve Strickland will face Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in a singles competition ahead of the 2024 Blood & Guts match.

Strickland confirmed on this Wednesday’s show that he will be part of Team AEW in the Blood & Guts match set for the July 24 episode Dynamite. Okada also declared himself to be a part of Blood & Guts as part of Team Elite.

Strickland joins Mark Briscoe as the first two confirmed members of Team AEW with three spots remaining empty on Team AEW. Hangman Adam Page joined Team Elite for the Blood & Guts match, on the flip side.

With this, the five participants of Team Elite for Blood & Guts are confirmed as Page joins AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson), Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada, and TNT Champion Jack Perry in the fray.

The 2024 AEW Blood & Guts Match will go down at the July 24 episode of Dynamite at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Darby Allin returned on last night’s episode to heavily tease his participation in this match.

As for next week’s Dynamite 250 edition, another title match is confirmed where TBS Champion Mercedes Mone will issue an open challenge to any competitor except Britt Baker. The current match card for the July 17 episode goes as follows,
