AEW Dynamite: Women’s Champion And Ricochet Added To September 18 Match Card

A new tag team match has been added to the latest upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite featuring the reigning AEW Women's World champion Mariah May as she teams up with Serena Deeb to take on Queen Aminata and Yuka Sakazaki.

The match was added to Dynamite card following the events that took place on this past Saturday's AEW Collision where Sakazaki showed up at a backstage segment and approached Mariah May for a championship match opportunity.

Later on in the show, Sakazaki defeated Deeb, and she was celebrating on the entrance ramp when May got up from her guest commentator's position, attacked Sakazaki from behind and went to put her down with the Storm Zero.

However, Sakazaki escaped and took out May with her own move and posed with the title before giving it back. Many assumed this set of actions to set up a singles contest between the two but we'd rather receive a tag team showdown on Dynamite.

Also on Collision, Deeb told Aminata to join forces with her but Aminata rejected the offer. After Deeb lost to Sakazaki, Aminata further mocked Deeb backstage before competing with Robyn Renegade. After Aminata won, Deeb punished her with the ankle lock.

Ricochet will be in action on Dynamite as Tony Khan announced the following, last night, "After he was blindsided last Wednesday by Beast Mortos, Ricochet will aim for revenge tomorrow on Wednesday Night Dynamite!"

Last week on Dynamite, Ricochet defeated Sammy Guevara in a match after which Mortos came out and speared Ricochet. Guevara made the save by grabbing a chair and helping Ricochet to his feet as Mortos retreated.

A trios match and Chris Jericho have already been announced for AEW Dynamite September 18 episode which takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. At a glance, the match card for the show goes as follows:
