AEW Dynamite: World Champions; In-ring return and more set for May 22 episode

This Wednesday night, All Elite Wrestling will deliver the go-home edition of Dynamite for the 2024 Double or Nothing pay-per-view set for this Sunday night. Both the men's and women's world champions will be seen in action on the show.

AEW World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland will face Nick Wayne ahead of his AEW World title defense against Christian Cage at Double or Nothing. Last year Strickland busted Wayne open inside his father's gym during a personal feud.

The AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm will team up with Mariah May to compete against the team of Saraya and Harley Cameron. This tag team match will also mark the in-ring return of Saraya.

This would be the former women's champion's first TV match in over three months. In her last match before this hiatus, she teamed with Ruby Soho to take on Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale on the February 7 edition of AEW Rampage.

In that match, Saraya experienced defeat as well as betrayal as Ruby Soho left her in the ring and thereby ended her association with The Outcasts. Since then, she has been dragging the faction with Harley Cameron, only.

Hook will compete against Katsuyori Shibata and Bryan Keith in a three-way match to determine the next challenger for Chris Jericho. Hook wants the title back, but Jericho told Hook, last week that he would need to prove his potential.

Bryan Danielson will face the tallest opponent of his AEW career in Satnam Singh. Kyle O'Reilly will get a chance to wrestle Malakai Black before the latter challenges Adam Copeland for the TNT Title at Double or Nothing.

The May 22 episode of AEW Rampage will emanate from the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California, serving to be the final episode before the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on Sunday, May 26. The confirmed match card for the show goes as follows:
