Next Wednesday Night, All Elite Wrestling will conduct its first-ever Fright Night Dynamite edition, and it will mark one of the company's top stars, Adam Cole’s return to competition in around a year.

As announced during this week’s episode of Dynamite, Cole will go one-on-one with The House of Black member Buddy Matthews next week after the former trios champion challenged Cole following a heated backstage confrontation.

Back at the 2023 edition of AEW Grand Slam, Cole suffered an ankle injury after jumping off the stage and he’s since been sidelined from in-ring action. Earlier this month, he returned to TV at WrestleDream PPV to attack another returnee from that night, MJF.

The heated feud between the two will likely produce a match at next month’s Full Gear PPV show. But per the stipulation laid out by MJF on Dynamite, he will face either Cole or Roderick Strong given whoever first wins three matches.

Private Party & Daniel Garcia defeated The Young Bucks & Jack Perry in a trios match on this week’s main event match of Dynamite and they proceeded to challenge The Young Bucks to a Tag Team Championship on next week’s Dynamite.

The Bucks were unwilling to have the rematch from WrestleDream until Isiah Kassidy proposed the stipulation for that match which says that Private Party will disband forever unless they win the match and the tag titles.

Overall, four matches are set for the upcoming themed episode of Dynamite. Apart from the two above-mentioned matches from last night’s Dynamite, Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin, and Kamille vs. Kris Statlander were already announced for the show.

AEW Fright Night Dynamite will take place, next Wednesday night, October 30th at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The first Halloween gimmicked weekly AEW TV programming has the currently confirmed match card as given below:

• Adam Cole vs. Buddy Matthews
• AEW Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Private Party (Private Party must disband if they lose)
• Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin
• Kris Statlander vs. Kamille
