Bengaluru, February 16: Following the confirmation of the Iron Man main event match for AEW Revolution, filling up the rest of the match card began on this week's episode Dynamite as a gimmick match and a couple of title matches were in the pipeline.
Jon Moxley was handed a controversial win over Adam Page during a previous episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite and this continued their beef. Now, the two will get the chance to settle their differences at AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.
After Adam Page defeated Kip Sabian in singles competition on Dynamite, Moxley and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club headed to the ring to have an exchange with The Hangman.
Moxley ended up challenging Page to a Texas Death Match at Revolution which was confirmed, later that night. In this type of match, there are basically no rules and the participants can go to extreme limits to secure the pin-fall or submission win.
Apart from this match, Wardlow will get the opportunity to challenge Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship at the upcoming PPV event. Mr. Mayhem was featured in an interview session with Jim Ross where he vowed to destroy the One True King of Television for insulting him at the December 28, 2022, edition of Dynamite.
Heading into the first title defense of his second title reign, Joe is seemingly the underdog given Wardlow's strong status. Joe won the title by defeating Darby Allin, a couple of weeks ago in a No Holds Barred Match.
AEW Revolution will also have a fatal-4-way match on the card for AEW World Tag Team Championships. The new champions, The Gunns will defend their titles against The Acclaimed and two other teams, those will be determined through a series of battle royals on AEW weekly television.
As noted above, the main event of Revolution will have MJF defending his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Iron Man Match. The American Dragon had to keep his winning streak intact in 2023 to get the title match opportunity on Dynamite.
The 2023 AEW Revolution pay-per-view event is scheduled for Sunday, March 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. The current match card for the show is given below:
- 60-Minute Iron Man Match for the AEW World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
