AEW Revolution 2024: Two big championship matches teased for PPV

AEW Revolution is going to be the first premium live event to be presented by All Elite Wrestling in March and multiple big matches for the show have been teased in the latest episode of Dynamite although neither of them was made official.

The 2024 edition of Revolution pay-per-view will be historic given that the legendary Sting will compete in his final match on that night. While teaming up with his buddy Darby Allin, he's also essentially coming after a championship.

On Dynamite, Darby said that Sting has had an impact on his career since 2015 when his career came to a halt from a neck injury. He flew to Sting's house after the latter signed with the AEW and they had a match to build a bond.

Darby asked Sting if he wanted to end his career as one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions and the answer was yes. AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill accepted their challenge and that match was made official for the February 7th episode of Dynamite.

It's now being assumed that Darby and Sting will eventually win the tag titles during that upcoming match, keeping the latter's winning streak intact which will lead the duo to Revolution in a proposed match against The Young Bucks.

Speaking of Revolution, the women's title match has been in the making for the event over the past few weeks. During Dynamite, the women's champion "Timeless" Toni Storm had a face-off against Deonna Purrazzo.

Deonna stated the reason behind joining All Elite Wrestling was to become the AEW Women's World Champion and she has no problem earning a title match opportunity, but she doesn't want to wrestle a delusional version of Toni.

Deonna spoke about their past connections and the matching tattoos they've got. Toni advised Deonna to blow her tattoo out of her bumhole before throwing her shoe at Deonna who threw her own shoe back.

A physical confrontation broke out between the two where Deonna took out Toni's butler with a pump kick. Deonna further posed with the AEW Women's Title to indicate that she was coming after it at Revolution.

Legendary Adam Copeland is also coming after the TNT Championship at Revolution held by Christian Cage as further emphasized on Dynamite where Copeland defeated Minoru Suzuki in the main event dream match.

Once the match was over, Copeland took the mic and cut a promo on still being focused on Cage for a match at Revolution. At this point, a TLC match between the two of them is scheduled for the March 2 PPV.
