AEW Revolution 2024: Updated match card for PPV after new announcements

A tumultuous episode of Dynamite went down last night which also served as the go-home episode of the Revolution 2024 event scheduled for this weekend. One major clarification was provided regarding the main event world title match of the show.

Hangman Adam Page was the center of discussion for the entire week due to an injury which kept his status in jeopardy for the three-way matchup previously announced for Revolution over the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

In a promo session on Dynamite, Page announced that he would not be able to compete in the triple-threat against Swerve Strickland and the world champion Samoa Joe. Hangman was then confronted by Swerve to be offered some mutual respect.

AEW World champion Samoa Joe came out and delivered some verbal jabs on both the men. Strickland was responding to the champion, when Adam Page attacked him with the crutch, making it clear that his injury was just a ruse.

With that, the main event for AEW Revolution was further confirmed to remain a three-way bout featuring Joe defending against both Strickland and Page. The latter one further mentioned that Strickland will never be the champion as long as he's around.

Later on Dynamite, Chris Jericho defeated Atlantis Jr. after Atlantis Sr. threw in the towel and begged to end the match for his son as he was locked in a submission. Soon after the match, a huge match for Revolution was confirmed featuring Jericho.

Chris Jericho vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer vs. Wardlow vs. FTW Champion Hook vs. Brian Cage vs. TBA vs. TBA in an All-Star 8 Man Scramble Match was declared for Revolution where the winner was announced to receive an AEW World Title match.

Furthermore, Will Ospreay returned to Dynamite and officially joined All Elite Wrestling as an active roster member. Ospreay said he's previously defeated top names like Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Orange Cassidy.

Don Callis, Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita interrupted the promo segment to inform that Ospreay and Takeshita will feature in a singles battle at Revolution. Whoever wins that match, will be a member of his Family.

Also, Tony Khan announced that due to injuries the Meat Madness Match got canceled at the 2024 AEW Revolution pay-per-view which takes place at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina, this Saturday. The updated match card for the show is given below:
