This shocked the pro-wrestling universe since the Mexican Aristocrat received a major push upon his arrival on the promotion.

But, just like the recent volatility in their current roster, the Impact Wrestling creative might be in some mess which led to the relinquishment of the world championship by Del Rio.

According to a report from wrestlingINC.com, the superstar who debuted with the name, Alberto De Patron was forced to forfeit his title in the recent television taping which is yet to be televised.

The sources stated that the current champion was instructed to do so due to the controversial decision that was made by the referees.

There was some chaos ensued during the finish of the match and Del Rio was handed by the choice of a third referee.

But, on last Friday Night's taping, the title was given back to the former champion, Lashley.

Later on the show, a number one contender's match was organized by the show-runners to declare a new number one contender.

Del Rio and Ethan Carter III competed in the bout which saw the former WWE champion emerging victorious via submission.

So, in near future, there will be another match between Lashley and the contender for the title.

Furthermore, a certain decision was made regarding the tag team championship since the reigning champions, the Hardy Boyz has left the promotion. They were asked by the creative to relinquish their title in a taping. But, it was refused by them.

So, Bruce Prichard announced a four-team tournament to crown new tag champs. The teams battling for the title will be The Decay, Reno Scum, Laredo Kid & Garza Jr. and LAX. This segment is set to go on the air on the March 16th episode of Impact Wrestling.
