Asuka to join WWE Raw, possible debut date revealed

Bengaluru, August 31: Ever since Asuka has relinquished the NXT Championship, the speculations on her main roster arrival have been huge. It was already there even before the Summerslam PPV. But, as the injury occurred, she officially confirmed that she is leaving the developmental territory.

Plus, the NXT GM, William Regal also spoke up stating that he is discussing with both Raw and Smackdown as of which brand would be more suitable for the Empress of Tomorrow. The former champion herself was hopeful to return as a main-roster superstar after her recovery.

So, the rumours are running rampant about the probable date of the dominant champion’s return. As of now, she will have to stay away from in-ring competition for almost six to eight weeks from the day she suffered the injury. So, we can definitely expect her to be back in October.

Ryan Satin from Pro-Wrestling Sheet has suggested that it’s almost evident that we will witness Asuka debuting on Monday Night Raw upon her return. Thus far, his predictions have turned out to be true regarding this matter. Considering the already existing female roster on the flagship show, it is certain that the creative team will instate her there.

John McKenna of the same source went one step ahead giving the approximate date of Asuka’s return. As per his tweet, at the TLC PPV in October, she will make her presence felt with a big-time debut. This is going to be the second Raw-brand PPV following Summerslam. However, Asuka needs to recover from her injury completely before that.

The reports from The Dirty Sheets further added that the officials are intending to give Asuka yet another long title reign on Raw upon her return. This will not harm her dominant champion’s image as she can pick up things just where she left while exiting NXT.

But, things can change at any time considering WWE Raw is managed by Vince McMahon, himself. So, for now, all of these are just rumours.
