WWE will fittingly celebrate the anniversary of the first-ever Hell in a Cell match at the same premium live event of Bad Blood, next month by bringing back the popular gimmick match for the first time after a gap of two years.

As confirmed by the WWE, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will compete inside the Hell in a Cell structure in the third bout of their ongoing feud and that match goes down at Bad Blood in October, a PLE that’s returning after two decades.

Throughout the summer of 2024, Punk and McIntyre have been involved in a highly personal feud that started with the latter sending Punk out of action with a torn triceps at Royal Rumble, which cost him missing WrestleMania XL.

Punk and McIntyre possess a 1-1 record against each other since Punk returned to action. At SummerSlam, McIntyre won with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee but Punk evened the score by winning a strap match at Bash in Berlin.

Thus, Bad Blood will essentially mark the rubber match between the two which should also wrap up the rivalry for good. Even WWE Raw general manager Adam Pearce noted that this personal angle needs to stop through the Hell in a Cell match.

For now, Punk is off TV after suffering a beat down to Punk via a blindside attack on Raw, last week by McIntyre as he was frustrated from his strap match loss. Punk was stretchered out of the arena after that.

A couple of grudge matches have also been announced for Bad Blood involving the current and the exiled Judgment Day members. This includes Liv Morgan defending her women’s world title against Rhea Ripley.

Also, Finn Balor will take on Damian Priest from the same storyline at the WWE Bad Blood premium live event that takes place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, October 5, and the current match card for the show goes as follows,
