To culminate in an ongoing storyline from Monday Night Raw, a World Heavyweight Championship match will reportedly be on the card of the WWE Bad Blood 2024 premium live event set for next month.
In the latest reports published by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was stated that Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn at next month's Bad Blood premium live event.

The WWE has listed this match internally while the official announcement is yet to come. Most likely Gunther will agree to the title match on this week's Raw emanating from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
The report also noted that Bad Blood will be a six-match show (including a women's title match from the SmackDown brand) unlike this month's Bash in Berlin PLE which offered an unusual five-match card.
"Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu, Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk Hell in a Cell, a teased Nia Jax tag match (depending on next week's Smackdown tag match result), Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the women's title and Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor."
After Bash in Berlin, Sami Zayn confronted Gunther about getting a World Heavyweight title match on the follow-up episode of Raw. The reason stated by Zayn was that he's the only one to have defeated Gunther at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year.
Gunther rejected the challenge, as Zayn further interrupted a conversation between Gunther and Bret Hart on last week's Raw. After Hart called out Gunther for ducking Zayn, Gunther, and the former Intercontinental Champion ended up having a brawl.
Previously at WrestleMania XL, Zayn defeated Gunther to win the Intercontinental Championship from Gunther to end the longest reign with the prestigious title in the history of the WWE. That's also the only time Gunther lost a match on the main roster.
The 2024 WWE Bad Blood premium live event will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, October 5, and the currently confirmed match card for the show goes as follows:
