The highly personal rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will run through Bash in Berlin premium live event set for later this month as they will compete in a rematch from SummerSlam with a stipulation attached to it.
Per the official announcement that came on this week's Raw, CM Punk will take on Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin in a Strap Match. The setup of the match was already done after Punk hit his bitter rival with multiple strap shots, last week.

Then on the August 19 episode of Monday Night Raw, he appeared on Raw in a promo and announced that the general manager of the show has sanctioned a Strap Match that he demanded against McIntyre for the upcoming PLE.
McIntyre was quick to come out on stage and accept Punk's challenge before saying that he would want to have a throw-down with Punk right there. But then again, he paused remembering Punk's underhanded tactics from the past.
In return, Punk willingly offered a strap to McIntyre to beat him up in return for the family bracelet that he stole from him. McIntyre simply denied it and also made a reference to Punk's wife AJ Lee and dog Larry.
The segment on Raw ended with Punk saying that McIntyre should rather be concerned with his match at Bash in Berlin because he will be attached to Punk with a strap in a capacity where usage of weapons will be legal.
Before this, Punk competed in a Samoan Strap Match at WWE Extreme Rules 2009 PLE and defeated Umaga. McIntyre also has prior experience in such a match that came via a loss against Karrion Kross at 2022 Extreme Rules.
WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 premium live event will take place on Saturday, August 31 from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany in what will mark the company's first large-scale taped show in the country. The confirmed match card for the night goes as follows:
