Announcement for WWE Elimination Chamber with Wrestlemania title match at stake

Bengaluru, February 7: The women’s Elimination Chamber match lineup was finalized on this week’s edition of WWE Raw. It was confirmed, last week that Alexa Bliss will be defending her title inside this ominous steel structure which will be a historic occasion for the female division since they did not have such an opportunity before this.

Meanwhile, the stakes have been made even higher with a surprise announcement from, Kurt Angle. The general manager of WWE Raw confirmed the five contender names for the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match to be pitted against Alexa Bliss who are Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose.

One name was definitely missed in this mix which is of Nia Jax. She is the only behemoth name present on the Raw roster possessing a dominant streak. So, it was a shocker to see her getting a chance to the title inside the steel cage. However, the GM has another interesting plan in his mind.

According to his words, Nia Jax will compete against Asuka on the night of the Elimination Chamber PPV with a huge stipulation added to the match. If Nia turns out to be the winner on February 25th night then she will be added to the WWE Raw women’s championship match set to be hosted at Wrestlemania 34.

In this case, the match will become a triple threat match. Being the winner of the Royal Rumble match, Asuka has already entered the title match at the biggest stage of them all. If the Samoan Lady can somehow put an end to her streak at the upcoming Raw-exclusive PPV then she will be a contender for the title, as well.

Check out WWE.com promoting the match,

“Will the formidable Jax derail The Empress of Tomorrow and set off on the road to WrestleMania? Or will the undefeated Superstar once again show that no one is ready for Asuka? Find out at WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, Feb. 25, at 8 ET/5 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.”

This is definitely going to be one hell of a match between two of the most dominant performers of the current roster going head-to-head against each other. Previously, they met on WWE Raw only once where the match came to an abrupt end due to injury. This time around, we expect to see a definite winner with Wrestlemania match at the stake.
