Bengaluru, August 16: Roman Reigns and The Bloodline have been ruling the WWE SmackDown brand with an iron fist over the past several years. This 30th instant will mark 3-year of Roman being the Universal Champion counting from Payback 2020.
In the beginning phase of the title reign, Roman Reigns won most of his title defenses via clean pin-fall wins against the likes of Jey Uso, Cesaro, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and more but things changed as the reign progressed.

With The Usos and Solo Sikoa playing dividend in Roman's matches, he needs a lot of help from them to win in title defenses for the better of last year or so. It appears that Roman can't win a match without the help of The Bloodline.
This kind of weak booking for the undisputed champion is going to change, soon. The Usos are officially out of The Bloodline while Solo Sikoa is also having some issues with the champion after getting speared by him at SummerSlam.
On this note, Xero News reports that Roman Reigns is now scheduled to start winning his matches clean again but that's have to wait as he is set to miss the next two WWE premium live events, Payback and Fastlane.
While nothing is confirmed at this moment, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is expected to go through his next title defense at the Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia in a couple of months.
However, this is the only premium live event that's yet to be confirmed on WWE's part. The final WWE PLE of 2023 will be Survivor Series, possibly under the WarGames theme which should also be attended by Roman.
There's no concrete update on the next feud of Roman Reigns when he returns to TV but with the ongoing fallouts within The Bloodline, Wrestling Observer hinted at a Fatal-4-Way with Usos, and Solo Sikoa going after Roman's title.
"The inevitable Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa confrontation teased strongly when Reigns accidentally speared Sikoa. I could even see a major PPV built around a four-way with all four vying for the title."
