Brock Lesnar’s current status revealed for WWE Raw’s Netflix move in 2025

Brock Lesnar's absence from WWE television since last SummerSlam led to wild speculations regarding his career, especially after a legal fallout with the company regarding the Janel Grant lawsuit against ex-owner Vince McMahon.

Being the biggest star power in the McMahon-regime, many believe that his career was already on a downward spiral after McMahon stepped down from his CEO position following the WWE-UFC merger and there's no positive follow-up news, either.

Recent updates have indicated that Brock Lesnar's return on WWE television is not happening and the new board continues to maintain a distance from him due to the sex trafficking lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon and WWE, in which a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion was mentioned.

On a contradictory note, Lesnar was moved back to the active roster of the WWE, earlier this year, leading to the speculations of a possible return in light of Monday Night Raw moving into Netflix within a few months from now.

Speaking on the situation, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that top WWE stars like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and even The Rock will be back for WWE's move to Netflix in January 2025.

This timespan will align with WWE's Road to WrestleMania 41, which will air on Netflix but Lesnar should be excluded from the mix. Unless the remaining legal issues get settled, WWE may be unable to present The Beast Incarnate on the largest OTT platform.

"The only question mark of the stars of that era would be Lesnar, based on the legal issues, and perhaps Undertaker, who likely wouldn't wrestle, but would also likely do something early in the Netflix run."

There were initial plans for Brock Lesnar to be back in time for this year's Royal Rumble but in light of the aforementioned lawsuit, he was removed from all the creative aspects alongside the WWE 2K24 video game.

That being said, Lesnar fans can only hope that we have not seen the former WWE Champion's last on WWE programming which came at SummerSlam 2023 against Cody Rhodes in the final match of their trilogy.
