Bengaluru, December 13: It's very well known that Brock Lesnar works only on a few days in a calendar year in the WWE and it was expected that he will return only during the build up to the Royal Rumble PPV.

But, now an announcement from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island broke the news of an earlier return for the Beast.

Reports from cagesideseats.com previously suggested that the appearance might not be for a storyline purpose. Rather, the beast incarnate will feature in a dark segment on the show which meant he will be kept off from the actual televised show of WWE Raw. But, the recent confirmation pours cold water on all of those speculations.

According to the updates from WWE, the reigning Universal Champion will definitely be back on the December 18th edition of WWE Raw and is expected to brief the WWE Universe on the situation of the title held by him.

Kane and Braun Strowman failed to deliver an outcome following their number one contender’s match. So, the champion himself is likely to announce who is next in line for him.

Numerous names have been previously rumored to be the next opponent for Brock Lesnar including John Cena who will be back soon during the holiday season.

So, it will be interesting to see whether he will be getting another chance for the title or someone from the current roster will grab the opportunity.

Apart from this confirmation, a number one contender’s match for the Cruiserweight Championship has also been announced for next week’s WWE Raw.

After Rich Swann was suspended from the company, a new fatal-4-way contest was held on this week’s show where Cedric Alexander became the winner.

So, it was confirmed that next week, Alexander will take on Drew Gulak with the winner getting the chance to face the Cruiserweight Champion, Enzo Amore.

Heading into the match, the North Carolina-native sounded quite positive about it in an interview on the WWE Raw fallout show. Being a babyface, chances are high that he will emerge the winner and face the heel champion.
