It's almost been a year that we have seen Brock Lesnar performing in a WWE ring and without any updates regarding his situation, it's highly unlikely that his return is happening. Plus, he has to fulfill certain criteria if and when it becomes a reality.
Originally, WWE had plans for Brock Lesnar to participate in Royal Rumble 2024 but those creative things were disrupted due to legal complications related to Vince McMahon's trafficking lawsuit filed by former employee of the company Janel Grant.

Lesnar was indirectly mentioned in that lawsuit which led to further setbacks in his relationship with the WWE. After missing the Royal Rumble, he was excluded from the roster of the latest WWE video game, WWE 2K24.
These developments have raised doubts about Lesnar's status within the WWE. According to the reports of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he will have to be cleared by WWE's legal team before making a return to WWE programming.
The update further stated that the return is impending, "Regarding any rumors of Lesnar returning, he has to be cleared by WWE legal (remember WWE is still a defendant in the Janel Grant lawsuit) and that hasn't happened yet."
Brock Lesnar competed in one last match in the WWE at SummerSlam 2023 which was marked by a loss to Cody Rhodes in a trilogy between the two. It was since early 2024 that new details started emerging regarding his status within the company.
It was revealed during the spring that there was some sort of "movement" in WWE to bring Brock Lesnar back to the fold but according to follow-ups by Sescoops, he was not being considered in any creative capacity.
It was further emphasized to be a legal situation and until and unless things get resolved, there's no chance that we will see the ten-time world champion back in the WWE fold.
"No one is going to get involved in that situation. This is a legal issue and until the lawyers decide that Brock is to be brought back, there is no movement at all, or a movement on his behalf."
