Brock Lesnar tops WWE earners list for 2017

Bengaluru, February 11: WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar is the highest earner in the company for the year 2017, according to forbes.com.
Ever since his return to the WWE back in the year 2012, Brock Lesnar has been treated in a special way by the creative team. This helped them to make the former WWE Champion as the biggest box-office attraction of the entire pro-wrestling industry. Nobody else have been constant main eventers in PPV matches like him for the past few years.
The reigning Universal Champion competes for only a handful of matches in a calendar year. But, whenever his name is advertised for a match, this becomes a must-see match for the fans as something special is kept in-store for them. There’s no easiest way to sell out a PPV for the company than showcasing Lesnar’s face in the poster.
So, when it comes to paychecks, WWE does not hesitate to spend the biggest amount for him. According to Forbes.com, Brock Lesnar continued to top the list of highest earning WWE superstars in the year 2017. He toppled John Cena from the spot, a couple of years ago and has remained there as he has held the prime championship on Raw for the better part of the year.
The source brings to out attention that the beast incarnate competed in 13 matches, last year with six PPV and seven house show appearances. This handed him a total amount of $12 million which is the highest for any WWE superstar in 2017. This handed him a whopping amount of $923000, per match which is a mind-boggling figure for a part-timer like him.
The source also reports that despite being working in a limited schedule in the WWE for the past few years, The Conqueror remains the highest-earner in the company toppling the franchise players. He can appear only around his scheduled PPV matches to hype it up. A pre-taped video message is often enough to cover up his absence.
Forbes also hinted Braun Strowman, the next behemoth who might go on to become one of the topmost earners in the WWE, this year with the following quotes,
“Judging by the success he's had in 2017 as well as his recent babyface turn, Strowman figures to be a consistent main eventer, a future world champion and a much better merchandise mover in 2018, which means he's likely to replace Kane, Undertaker and Show not only as WWE's resident monster but as its highest-paid behemoth as well.”
