One more Championship match announced for Wrestlemania 34 on WWE Raw

Bengaluru, March 20: After the Smackdown Women's Championship match was announced, last week, the anticipation on who would receive the Raw women's title match was very high in the WWE Universe. The same thing happened on last night's episode of the flagship show and the the prime title match from the women's division was confirmed for Wrestlemania.

The champion Alexa Bliss is set to defend her belt against her former best friend Nia Jax in a singles contest. These two were close allies and were also involved as a tag team named Team Rude. But, last week, they fell apart to end their alliance. So, as expected a natural heat was born between them which led to this interesting match at the biggest event of the year.

The reigning champion appeared on the show to belittle her former best friend. She went on a rant against the Samoan. She never intended to have Jax as a friend and her alliance was just meant to use the behemoth name from the roster for her protection. This was a way to provoke Nia, according to the comments.

Following the verbal assault, Alexa Bliss had to take on Asuka in a match where the latter one's streak was on the line. The champion was in control for most part of the match but the Empress of Tomorrow was able to lock in the submission move and Bliss had no choice but to escape the ring to make the match a no-contest.

This was the time when Nia Jax walked out to the arena to seek redemption against Little Miss Bliss. The cunning title-holder managed to escape the ring and go to the back. Hence, Nia delivered a massive assault to Mickie James, the current ally of the champion.

After the match, Alexa Bliss walked straight into Kurt Angle's office to demand for her protection against Nia Jax who is out of control. But the WWE Raw GM was not willing to do that after the pathetic display from the champion for two consecutive weeks. Rather, he stated that Nia deserves an opportunity at the WWE Raw women's championship. Hence, he announced Nia Jax will have her shot at the title in Wrestlemania 34.

Now that the match is official, the fans can't wait to see this contest which took months to finally reach the boiling point. We can only imagine when the two best friends would hammer each other to deliver us a potentially solid contest. With the title being on the line, it will be an all-time high.
