With just more than a week remaining for the buildup of Clash at the Castle 2024, the card for the premium live event in the United Kingdom is shaping up slowly as an Intercontinental Title Match has been added to it on Raw.
On the latest episode of WWE's flagship show, Sami Zayn called Chad Gable to the ring after being troubled by him in recent times. The rest of Alpha Academy came out and read a letter from Gable which stated said he didn't want to confront Sami.

In the letter, Gable also mentioned that he wanted another Intercontinental title match, and Sami instantly agreed to defend the title against Gable at Clash at the Castle on June 15 if it meant the end of this ongoing rivalry.
Immediately after the agreement, Gable attacked Sami from behind. Sami did manage to make a comeback but during the brawl, he accidentally hit the ropes, causing Alpha Academy's Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa to fall off the apron to the floor.
Otis didn't want to get involved in attacking Sami and also teased the eventual turn-on angle on Gable but for the time being, he gave in and joined the beatdown until Sami was completely taken out.
Later in a backstage segment, Gable praised the rest of Alpha Academy for their work on Raw and ignored the fact that Tozawa and Dupri were hurt. Gable rather insisted that they would win the Intercontinental title as a team at Clash at the Castle.
Speaking of the premium live event, a co-main-event announcement is on the horizon as per Dave Meltzer's reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter where Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship against AJ Styles.
This comes after Styles faked his retirement on SmackDown and then attacked Rhodes with a little help from The OC's Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Per Meltzer, Rhodes vs. Styles should be announced, this Friday on SmackDown.
The 2024 Clash at the Castle 2024 premium live event is scheduled from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday, June 15. The currently confirmed match card for the UK PLE goes as follows:
