CM Punk’s return announced for WWE Raw before WrestleMania 40

CM Punk suffered a triceps injury at this year's Royal Rumble and this debacle eliminated him from the Road to WrestleMania 40 soon after he made a miraculous return to the WWE after 10 long years.

As confirmed by the WWE, Punk won't be able to compete at The Show of Shows, as he is currently recovering from the surgery. But going by the advertisement on WWE's official website, he will be onboard for the final episode of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 40.

This big episode with the final builds for the Show of Shows will go down at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and the confirmation came via the page listing the talents for that particular night on April 1.

This will be CM Punk's first appearance on Raw since the post-Royal Rumble episode, where he announced the triceps injury after appearing in a sling. WWE added a kayfabe element to the injury after he got attacked by Drew McIntyre.

Since that incident, McIntyre has carried forward the rivalry by mentioning him regularly on promos during Raw. The 2024 Elimination Chamber Match winner also keeps on mentioning Punk on social media to keep the feud ongoing.

Before this coming appearance, Punk also appeared in a dark segment on Raw in San Francisco to promise that he will have his boots on the next time he appears in that city but that's not likely happening in a long time.

Also, the former Straight Edge Leader attended the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Press Conference, where he worked as a Host before being present at the UFC 298 PPV to get heavily booed by the MMA fans.

During that appearance, CM Punk was interviewed by Caroline Pearce, and he opened up on the injury situation which will keep him out of television for a long time. His words kept the hopes alive for an in-ring appearance at SummerSlam 2024.

"We're thinking maybe six to eight months, but I'm not really in a rush to get back to compete. I'm in a rush to get healthy. I'm in a rush to get better. The sooner I do that, the better I'll be when I come back."
