Conflicting reports on Rey Mysterio's WWE contract

Bengaluru, March 5: Whenever there is suspense in WWE rivalries, it favors the the TV ratings as most of the fans get engaged in it trying to speculate what would happen next. In recent times, the Wrestlemania 34 opponent of John Cena is a hot topic in the internet.

According to reports from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Rey Mysterio was present on this past week's Smackdown to finalize a deal for Wrestlemania. He is said to be the opponent of the Cenation Leader. But, there are massive fallouts of this news, as well.

Veteran wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer opposed the news saying that the Masked Luchador was not at backstage in the WWE in Los Angeles. In fact, there has not been any sort of deal finalized between him and WWE. According to Meltzer, the dream match between John Cena and The Undertaker is still on the cards.

Currently, Rey Mysterio is scheduled to appear in an NJPW show later in March and that is the reason it is very unlikely that he will work for WWE before that. Meanwhile, you need to know, negotiations are going on between Mysterio and Impact Wrestling promotion, as well.

Owing to this, the rival brand of the WWE posted a message that tonight they will make a huge announcement. A new signee will be revealed under their banner who is a big name from the pro-wrestling promotion. So, the fans have started to wonder if the new star could be the high-flying Luchador.

The biggest constraint while working for the WWE is the rigorous working schedule. Till date, Barrasso is stuck with his previous opinion that despite this, Mysterio will be working with the company. Only time will tell if that is possible or not.

Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio looked good when he returned to the WWE, for one more time. He was offered a contract from Impact Wrestling promotion, too which he rejected.
