As announced by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H during Bad Blood 2024, the next premium live event of the company, namely Crown Jewel in the first week of November will be headlined by two Champion vs. Champion matches.

Those two bouts in Raw vs. SmackDown lineups have been confirmed for the WWE Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where two men’s world champions from one side will collide with each other alongside the two women’s world champions.

As such, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes from SmackDown vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther from Raw, and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan from Raw vs. WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax from SmackDown have been confirmed.

Back at Bad Blood, Triple H made a historic announcement that at Crown Jewel, WWE will crown their first-ever Crown Jewel Champions with singles matches at the PLE pitting the WWE Champion against the World Champion from both the men’s and women’s divisions.

None of the actual championships held by the champions will be on the line but rather the Men’s World Champions (WWE Champion vs. World Heavyweight Champion) and the Women’s World Champions (WWE Women’s Champion vs. Women’s World Champion) will clash in separate matches.

On last night’s Raw, Gunther (c) defeated Sami Zayn to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in the show's main event. After the match, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out to have a face-off with Gunther.

From the women’s side, Liv Morgan and Nia Jax retained their titles at Bad Blood last Saturday via separate wins against Rhea Ripley and Bayley, respectively to solidify their status for the inaugural Crown Jewel title matches.

The 2024 Crown Jewel will be the next WWE premium live event scheduled for Saturday, November 2 from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The currently set match card for the night goes as follows,

- Inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship Match: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther

- Inaugural WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match: WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax vs. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan
