Dean Ambrose suffers elbow injury on WWE Raw, likely to undergo surgery

Bengaluru, December 20: A member of the Shield, Dean Ambrose picked up an elbow injury during Monday Night Raw and is likely to under go a surgery to fix the issue.
The injury occurred during the scheduled six-man tag team match on WWE Raw in which Ambrose teamed up with Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan to take on the team of Samoa Joe, Sheamus, and Cesaro.
On an interesting note, his opponents were not the reason behind of his injury and it was caused accidentally by his brother-in-arms, Rollins.
The Architect was all fired up while delivering a high-flying suicide dive to take down each member of the opponent team and unfortunately, Dean Ambrose was also standing right in the middle and digested the better part of the dive to injure his right elbow.
The official present in the ring ran towards The Lunatic Fringe to check on him to hint that the injury might be a legit and even forgot to count the pinfall when Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on Rollins for the win.
Right after the match, an angle was shown to portray the injury as a 'work’ when Samoa Joe and the tag team champions attacked Ambrose and Rollins for the second time that evening.
Ambrose was seen lying down clutching his elbow after which he was taken to the local medical facility. WWE.com released the following statements indicating that he might need to undergo a surgery:
“Dean Ambrose sustained an injury to his right arm during Raw’s Six-Man Tag Team Match, and the damage was exacerbated when his opponents, Samoa Joe and Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus, assaulted The Lunatic Fringe in the trainer’s room.
Ambrose was taken to a nearby medical facility for X-rays and evaluation. An MRI has shown suspicion of a high-grade triceps tendon injury, possibly a tear, so he is undergoing surgical exploration and most likely surgical repair of the torn triceps tendon."
Dean Ambrose is that particular superstar who has not taken a long time off in his WWE schedule ever since his debut in 2014 and that is why he is often being referred as the workhorse of the WWE.
And it also made him the one to wrestle the most number of matches for the past couple of years including televised and non-televised matches.
It looks like, this rigorous schedule has caught up with him to a great extent as he is said to be injured legit following this bygone edition of WWE Raw.
Being one of the most popular superstars in the current WWE locker room, this is definitely a sad news for the fans and in addition, this is bound to create some headache for the creative team, as well.
