Bengaluru, March 9: Dolph Ziggler was away from the Smackdown Live brand for almost seven weeks. He won the United States Championship after his return at the Clash of Champions PPV. Just two days later, on December 20th, he decided to relinquish the title, stating he deserves a lot better in the WWE. Ever since he went away, there were a lot of speculations about his status.

For years now, Dolph Ziggler has been misused on the roster. Despite spending a decade in the company or being one of the most technically gifted athletes around, the officials never treated him as the main event superstar. This prompted him to vent out his frustrations on a kayfabe note.

So, while they brought him back to WWE TV again, it was thought that a better plan would be reserved for him. That's what exactly happened when he returned to the blue brand. He defeated Sami Zayn in a singles contest to be a part of the Fastlane main event which is now a fatal-5-way contest for the WWE Championship.

Apparently, this huge push for the show-off was due to a new deal made between Ziggler and the WWE. The initial thought was that the former world champion would not re-sign with the company as he was unhappy with his status. But, it was hard for him to deny a lucrative contract that was offered by the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.

As per reports from Sports Illustrated, Ziggler has signed a new contract with the WWE which will hand him over a huge amount of money. The two-year deal will give him $3 million, approximately. Plus, he will get a lot of benefits from it. Take a look at the features of the contract revealed by the 434 Facebook page,

*Huge amount of Money

*He has agreed to play a role in development territory.

*He can accept outside project if the dates don't conflict with his WWE Schedule.

*He can leave the arena right after his match.

It's hard to see that he will play a role in highlighting new talents by digesting numerous losses like before. It means that the jobber tag attached to him is unlikely to go, soon. However, apart from this condition, the terms provided by the company was attractive.

No other superstar on the roster might get a chance to choose his own working dates like him. It is a unique feature that will allow him to continue his outside ventures. In case you didn't know, he is a renowned standup comedian who performs, regularly. Plus, sometimes he is seen in movie or TV roles, as well which should be continued after this new deal.
