Dudley Boyz to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018

Bengaluru, January 31: The Hall of fame has just become the Dudleyville with the arrival of the Dudley Boyz into the house. According to the recent announcement from WWE, the legendary duo of Bubba Rey Dudley and D-Von Dudley will be inducted into the prestigious club of the company just two nights before this year’s Wrestlemania.

Earlier, Goldberg was announced to be the first one for this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. He was announced to be the headliner of the class of 2018. The program has been a norm each year during the Wrestlemania weekend. This year, it will be hosted at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

If the former WCW franchise was not enough to make the fans delight, the ECW originals were called upon to take the center stage on that night where they will receive the ultimate prize for their career. The news of their induction was reported first on CBSSports.com which was later confirmed by WWE’s official website,

“The WWE Hall of Fame will need to stock up on tables because The Dudley Boyz are moving in.

As first reported by CBS Sports, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley are the latest inductees in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. They will be inducted, alongside Goldberg, during the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 6, in New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 Week.”

Bubba Rey Dudley has moved on to his career associating with the Ring of Honor promotion after leaving the WWE in 2016 whereas D-Von is still under WWE’s banner acting as a backstage producer. They reunited on WWE Raw 25th anniversary on January 22nd where the deal for Hall of Fame might have been confirmed between the two parties.

According to many pro-wrestling fans, the Dudley Boyz are the best. They have been the trailblazers for the tag tea division starting from the ECW brand. The Attitude Era was home to them where they had iconic rivalries against Edge-Christian and the Hardy Boyz. They came back for a one-off occasion in 2015 which failed to a big extent which was the end of their career.
