Bengaluru, January 25: The 30-woman battle royal match will be hosted for the first time ever at the 31st edition of the annual Royal Rumble event. This particular show kicks off the Road to Wrestlemania which will take place in the month of April.

With that being said, the hype is quite huge for the first dual-brand PPV of the year 2018 which will be hosted at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Sunday (January 28).

Also, the speculations of the potential winner of the first women’s Royal Rumble is quiet high as the winner will get an opportunity to challenge for either the Raw or Smackdown Women’s Championship at the grandest stage of them all. It will take the female athletes one step closer to be part of the main event match at Wrestlemania.

The early betting odds for this particular match is out and it suggests an outsider from the pro-wrestling industry to win the match and get the title opportunity. It is none other than former UFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who is expected to be a surprise entrant in the Rumble to compete in her first match in the WWE and then go on to win it.

Ronda, on the other hand, will enter the prestigious battle royal to set up the championship match at the showcase of immortals. This angle is expected to be executed on WWE TV in the upcoming months.
