Ex WWE Star Nikki Bella’s Husband Not Facing Charges Over Domestic Battery Arrest

Weeks passed by since the domestic violence incident between Nikki Bella and her husband Artem Chigvintsev. The two are currently headed to splitsville given the former has already filed for divorce with some specific demands.

In the meantime, a sigh of relief is there for Artem as he won't be facing any charges from the situation per the official update issued by the police after the "suspicion of felony domestic violence" was declined.

In a press release, The Napa County District Attorney's Office stated that they are strictly against any domestic battery case but the required "ethical obligation" to accuse the 42-year-old Russian native wasn't found.

"Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley announced today that her office has declined to file criminal charges against Artem Chigvintsev, age 42, in connection with his arrest on suspicion of felony domestic violence," the beginning of the released statement reads.

It was also noted that the case might be revisited in the future if further happenings are found within a time limit of a year or if the police find more evidence that wasn't presented in the past.

Originally, Artem was arrested on charges of felony corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant. He was bailed out, afterward while Nikki Bella, now going by the name of Nikki Garcia has since filed for divorce, urging for sole custody of her son with Artem, Matteo.

TMZ previously reported that Artem has filed for joint custody of his son and that he is also seeking spousal support so that she can cover his legal fees and court costs, a move that is strictly prohibited by Nikki.

TMZ also spotted Nikki in Napa Valley, California spending some quality time with her four-year-old son where Artem was also present which possibly proves that she's not in opposition to letting Matteo meet her father.

The former WWE Star has been together with Artem since 2018 since her high-profile breakup with John Cena. The two gave birth to Matteo in 2020 and then got married in 2022, a ceremony that was documented for the "Nikki Bella says I do" TV show.
