Huge fatal-5-way IC title match in-store for WWE Wrestlemania 34

Bengaluru, March 5: The Miz cut a strong promo during last week's edition of WWE Monday Night Raw about how he has made the Intercontinental Championship prestigious. It has been synonymous with him since he won it for the 8th time in 2017 with only Chris Jericho ahead of him. So, a big match for the title is expected for him at Wrestlemania.

Unlike the Universal Championship, which seems to have a scheduled match, we are yet to learn about the clear picture around the IC title. There's no confirmed news about who will challenge the strong champion for his title. However, the last edition of WWE Raw might have given us some hint about it.

The Miz was forced to compete in two matches on the show hosted in Anaheim, California. In the first match, Seth Rollins pinned him in a non-title match. Minutes later, Finn Balor also challenged and defeated him. This made both contenders for the Intercontinental Championship.

So, there should be a triple threat title match at Wrestlemania. But, in reality, we might see a bigger match than initially thought. Apparently, WWE creative is intending to insert Elias and Braun Strowman, as well to make it a multi-man matchup.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated gave hints of the same saying that it is going to be a fatal-5-way match for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania. The Miz bragged about being a dominant champion. So, he will get a chance to prove it when all the odds will be stacked against him.

Check out the updates from SportsKeeda.com regarding this match,

“Barrasso claims that the current plan is for The Miz to defend the Championship in a fatal five-way match that will include Rollins, Balor, Elias, and Strowman. A feud between Elias and Strowman has already been teased to continue, whilst Rollins and Balor have laid down the groundwork for the beginning of their feud, which could easily lead to a fatal five-way match.”

The earlier news on the Intercontinental title suggested that The Hollywood A-lister will have to defend it against the Monster Among Men in a singles competition. Strowman had pinned The Miz twice in the bygone Gauntlet and Elimination Chamber match. But, the plans seem to have changed recentlty as we will see a bigger match for the mid-card title from WWE Raw.
