John Cena added to WWE Championship match at Fastlane

Bengaluru, February 28: There's only one free agent on the WWE roster whose name is John Cena. This man can perform on either of the brands in the company, as per he wishes. WWE creative team can use him to the fullest by virtue of this.
After failing at the Elimination Chamber PPV, there was no road to Wrestlemania for John Cena and a veteran performer like him is not supposed to take it, lightly. This is the first time in his career that he does not have an opponent for the biggest event of the year.
So, the Cenation Leader was forced to shift to Smackdown Live as he failed in his challenge to fight The Undertaker. Once he moved to the Blue brand, he tried his luck to be involved in the Fastlane PPV with Wrestlemania on his mind.
John Cena appeared on last night's event to insert himself into a title opportunity. He continued with the same pledge of getting an opportunity at Wrestlemania. So, he wished to get a shot at the WWE title at the Fastlane PPV.
Shane McMahon was about to sanction the contest but Daniel Bryan interupted and stated Smackdown is the 'land of opportunity’. The Smackdown general manger added, if anyone is willing to get a shot around here, he will need to earn it.
Hence a match against AJ Styles was announced as the main event of the show with a stipulation added to the contest which said that if Cena wins it then he will be added to the Fastlane championship match.
It was a classic match which marked the fourth dream encounter between the veteran names. It was a back-and-forth contest with the crowd chanting 'this is awesome’ throughout the match. By countering the Calf Crusher from the Phenomenal One, Cena planted Styles with an Attitude Adjustment to get the pinfall win.
By virtue of this win, John Cena got added to the title match at the Fastlane PPV. It is a six-way match, now which also features Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn with AJ Styles defending the prime title before Wrestlemania 34.
