Bengaluru, August 18: The biggest event of the summer will emanate from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This will mark the third straight year that the PPV will be hosted at the venue. Recently, WWE confirmed that the same arena will host Summerslam, next year, again.
Now, this is the third dual brand PPV of the year where bigger rivalries will come to culmination and new storylines will follow thereafter. So, we can definitely expect some bigger fallouts at Summerslam by the help of which new feuds will begin.
In addition, a bigger change is expected on Monday Night Raw on the post-Summerslam episode of the show. As per the recent updates, a future WWE Hall of Famer will return to the show in a capacity to give the fans a pleasant surprise.
The next episodes of Raw and Smackdown will be hosted by the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The venue has started promoting the night after Summerslam which is supposed to feature none other than John Cena. The franchise player is set to return to the flagship show.
Official twitter handle of the arena has hinted this with a post. With that being said, it is confirmed that the franchise player of the company will come back to Raw after a hiatus of more than a year, after the brand extension draft, last year.
Now, since the move is evident, he is supposed to come out as the winner at the Summerslam PPV. Cena is scheduled to face Baron Corbin this Sunday (August 20). The latter one already lost his Money in the Bank briefcase this past Tuesday on Smackdown.
The Cenation Leader needs this win to make a grand return to Raw. This will earn him a bigger momentum on his side so that he can be involved in some marquee feuds on the show.
As per the recent speculations, Samoa Joe is going to be Cena's first opponent upon arriving to Raw. This is a dream feud for the fans that will be worth a watch and we will finally witness it once the Summerslam PPV is concluded.
