Scotia Bank Arena in Ontario, Toronto, Canada witnessed two superstars earn a future shot at the champions on the main roster Raw and SmackDown during the Money in the Bank 2024 Premium Live Event (PLE) on Saturday (July 6) night.

The 15th edition of Money in the Bank was headlined by a rivalry-based 6-man tag team matchup, but the event's highlight was the gimmick based ladder matches in the men's and women's divisions.

The winner of the respective ladder matches land an opportunity to challenge a champion of their choice by grabbing the briefcase with a contract that is hung up in the centre of the ring with at least 6 superstars batting for the huge opportunity at a future title shot.

With the contract of a title shot of their choice valid until the next edition of WrestleMania, the previous men's winner Damian Priest cashed in on his contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship in WrestleMania 40.

Meanwhile, Iyo Sky, the previous women's MITB winner, cashed in on her contract at SummerSlam 2023 when she successfully defeated Bianca Belair to win the WWE Women's Championship. Similarly, two superstars earned title opportunities on last nights' MITB 2024.

Who won the MITB Ladder Match in Money in the Bank 2024?

In the women's MITB ladder match, Tiffany Stratton defeated Chelsea Green, Iyo Sky, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi, and Zoey Stark in a contest that lasted for 16 minutes and 50 seconds to grab the briefcase.

In the closing stages, Canada's own Green quickly climbed the rungs and nearly won the match, but Stratton pushed the ladder to send her soaring over the top rope and crashing through a pair of tables on the outside, securing her status as Ms. Money in the Bank.

In the men's MITB ladder match, Drew McIntyre warded off challenge from Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, Chad Gable, Jey Uso, and LA Knight to grab the briefcase hanging over the ring after a contest that lasted 16 minutes and 30 seconds.

In the closing moments, Uso had his hands on the briefcase, but McIntyre used a ladder like a javelin to send him crashing to the canvas, and after one Claymore, McIntyre climbed the ladder to become Mr. Money in the Bank.

The Money in the Bank 2024 Winner had a chance to cash in on their contracts until the next WrestleMania. McIntyre, however, as expected targetted World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who defeated him at WrestleMania 40 to win the title. McIntyre's cash in was a failure as Priest successfully defended his title in a triple threat match.

Startton, on the other hand, is likely to come after Bayley's WWE Womens' Championship on SmackDown, while Liv Morgan, who has also had some past with the MITB winner, needs to be on guard.
