One of the biggest attractions for the returning Night of Champions pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia will be the finale of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament and one of the participants in that match has been revealed.
Two Triple Threat matches took place on this week’s Raw with the lineups being Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor vs. The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes to determine the winner from the Raw side of the tourney.

In the first match, Seth Rollins defeated Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura in a Triple Threat Match to advance to the Semi-Final Match of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament set for later that night.
In the second match, Finn Balor defeated The Miz and Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat to join Rollins in the Semi-Final. Brock Lesnar invaded this match and attacked Rhodes with an F-5, allowing Finn to get the pin-fall win over The Miz.
Then in the main event of Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor to cement his spot in the Finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament at Night of Champions 2023 to take on a Superstar from Smackdown.
Speaking of Smackdown, the lineups to determine the Semi-Final participants are - Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. AJ Styles (touted as an absolute dream match) and Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus vs. Austin Theory.
Winners from these two bouts will battle in the Smackdown main event to determine the Finale Match participant who will collide against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
After dropping Cody with his finisher, Lesnar picked up the mic and told Cody to look at his face which had wounds from Backlash. Lesnar then issued a challenge to Cody for a “Fight” at Night of Champions.
Later in the evening, Raw interviewer Cathy Kelley asked Cody Rhodes how he feels about getting eliminated from the World Heavyweight Championship tournament due to Brock Lesnar’s interferences. Cody mentioned that Brock again attacked him for no reason.
Cody stated the reason Brock attacked him is that Brock’s monopoly over the main event scene in WWE was broken by him since his 2022 return. Cody then accepted Brock’s challenge to a “fight” at Night of Champions.
After that statement, Brock Lesnar has officially been booked for the upcoming WWE event in Saudi Arabia. It’s interesting to mention that The Beast Incarnate will be participating in the first five PPVs of 2023 which is a rare case.
