Rumour: Nikki Bella to appear with John Cena at WWE Summerslam

Bengaluru, August 13: It is quite unfortunate for the WWE that they are unable to use a name like Nikki Bella on a full-time basis. She is one of those few names in the company who can garner mainstream media attention which is quite needed for the company.

But, the career-threatening neck injury will no longer allow her to wrestle like regular superstars considering the hectic schedule one athlete to handle.

In case you didn't know, the longest reigning Divas Champion has been out of action with a neck injury since 2015 and underwent surgery in January 2016. She missed almost one year of her career before returning at Summerslam last year.

Considering that the biggest event of the summer is fast approaching, we can definitely expect her back on board again. As per the updates from her social media feeds, the elder Bella is training hard to get back to the squared circle whenever called upon.

Recently, she had an altercation with John Cena's Summerslam opponent, Baron Corbin on twitter that may have hinted of her possible appearance on the August 20th event. In addition, she also hinted in which capacity she might show up.

Corbin took a shot on the Cenation Leader for insulting him on Smackdown Live, this past week. He also mocked Cena for being an inspiration to all for the same reason.

Nikki Bella could not take this lightly and jumped into the conversation stating that at Summerslam, she will be sitting in the front row to slap the taste out of Corbin's mouth. This is a pure indication that Cena's fiancée would probably be present at ringside on the Summerslam night.

This might turn out to be a good arrangement by the WWE. Since, no storylines are available for her on Smackdown, as of right now, they are likely to use her during the match to create yet another 'mark-out' moment.

If executed properly, then WWE could use the power couple in this capacity to earn some more mainstream headlines at Summerslam. We have to wait till Sunday to see how this angle works out.
