NXT Heatwave 2024: Multiple championship matches confirmed for WWE PLE

Builds for the next WWE premium live event, Heatwave under the NXT banner continued on this week's episode of NXT with multiple title matches being confirmed for the show. Plus, the earlier announced main-event match has now been tweaked.

In a promo segment on NXT, Ethan Page and Shawn Spears tried to get added to the NXT Championship match at Heatwave 2024 with the champion Trick Williams defending against the original number-one contender Je'Von Evans.

Williams came out in the segment and declared that he doesn't care who he faces at Heatwave because he has the confidence to remain the champion. Evans and Spears attacked him, which led to Evans making the save.

Then in the main event of NXT, - Shawn Spears defeated NXT Champion Trick Williams after Brooks Jenson interfered. Jensen hit Trick with the commentary desk board, allowing Shawn to hit his finisher for a clean pin-fall win.

After the match, NXT General Manager Ava came out and announced that it would be Trick Williams (c) vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Shawn Spears vs. Ethan Page in a Fatal-4-Way encounter for the NXT Championship at Heatwave.

NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez defeated Karmen Petrovic, last night after hitting her opponent with the Pop Rox finisher. But she was laid out by Lola Vice, who was on the commentary desk for this match.

Walking out with Perez's title, the title later needed to be collected by the champion from Ava's office. It was them that Ava confirmed Roxanna Perez (c) vs. Lola Vice for the Heatwave PLE.

In a number-one contender's match on NXT, Sol Ruca defeated Arianna Grace after hitting the latter with her Sole Snatcher finishing move. Now, it will be Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Sol Ruca for the NXT Women's North American Championship at Heatwave.

Chase University - Andre Chase and Duke Hudson won a Tag Team Turmoil on this week's NXT and they will face Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championship at the Heatwave PLE.

WWE NXT Heatwave 2024 premium live event is scheduled for Sunday, July 7 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as part of a triple-header weekend Smackdown and Money in the Bank. The announced card for the PLE goes as follows:

• NXT Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) against Je'Von Evans
• NXT Women's Championship Match: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Lola Vice
• NXT North American Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Wes Lee
• NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) vs. Chase U (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson)
• NXT Women's North American Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Sol Ruca
