NXT No Mercy 2024: Guest Referee; Title Match And More Added To WWE PLE

A Special Guest Referee has been appointed in the form of a former NXT Champion to officiate things for the main event of this weekend’s WWE premium live event under the NXT banner, No Mercy.

The previous NXT Champion Trick Williams will be this guest referee for the NXT title match between Ethan Page and TNA’s Joe Hendry that was already announced for No Mercy on last week’s episode.

Then last night on the latest edition of NXT, the general manager of the show Ava came out and informed the champion that Trick was given the role as a result of the excuses offered by him over the recent weeks.

The WWE Universe gathered at the Performance Center was amped up with the news but Page was fuming about it. Eventually, the segment ended with the Hendry planting Page with a modified chokeslam to possibly give us a preview of No Mercy.

Trick Williams will also be seen in action against NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne on the September 3 WWE NXT show. This comes after Trick got involved in a triple threat number one contender’s match on the August 20 NXT and attacked Dunne.

In more news from No Mercy, former tag team partners will collide on the show as Wes Lee faces Zachary Wentz (FKA Nash Carter of WWE) of The Rascalz on Sunday’s card. Lee turned on Wentz earlier this month to initiate the rivalry.

Plus, the Women’s North American Championship match between Kelani Jordan and Wendy Choo was also officially announced for the latest upcoming WWE PLE after the two agreed on a title match, last week.

WWE NXT No Mercy 2024 premium live event goes down this Sunday, September 1 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado where next night’s WWE Raw is also scheduled. The currently confirmed match card for the PLE goes as follows,
