As the next WWE premium live event, Stand & Deliver 2024 under the NXT banner approaches closer, we are regularly witnessing the transition of a former champion into a full-blown heel who's focused on gaining back the title.
Roxanne Perez has voiced her frustrations over pleasing the fans which led her to receive nothing in her career over the course of last year. She is now creating havoc on several babyface talents which includes the reigning champion, Lyra Valkyria.
Two weeks ago, Perez launched a heinous attack on the Irish Superstar that sent the latter to hospital via stretcher. This week, Valkyria was back to seek retribution but the heel antics of her adversary turned out to be too much for her.
On the March 19 episode of NXT, Valkyria's trusted ally, Tatum Paxley was out to have revenge on The Prodigy in the opening bout of the show but she expectedly came up short.
Perez locked in the cross-face and made Paxley tap out for the win. She then demanded General Manager Ava to answer her plea and give her the title match for the NXT Women's championship at NXT Stand & Deliver.
The call was eventually answered by the returning Lyra Valkyria who rushed to ringside to deliver payback for Roxanne's attack over the past weeks. But a vicious Perez decimated the champion and posed with the title to stand tall.
Following this segment, Ava met Valkyria in the backstage area after the latter demanded to face Roxanne Perez herself. Ava then had to make their match for the NXT Women's title official for NXT Stand & Deliver.
The 2024 NXT Stand & Deliver event, the fourth under this event chronology will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania shortly before WrestleMania 40 Night One. The match card for this NXT PLE goes as follows:

- NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria defends against Roxanne Perez
- Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes
