Bengaluru, December 17: Last week, WWE announced a number one contender’s match between Kane and Braun Strowman for the main event of WWE Raw. With plenty of speculations going around with the Universal Championship scenario on the flagship show, this was the solution provided by the officials. The next title defense was also announced for Royal Rumble 2018 on January 28th.

However, with the bad blood between the two monsters of the WWE, we did not get a result from the contest as both men started brawling inside the ring to disqualify the match. As a result, no challenger for the title held by Brock Lesnar was finalized. This also fuelled up the rumors that the champion might not defend his title in the near future.

But, now as the Universal Champion is announced to appear on the upcoming edition of WWE Raw to address the situation with his manager, Paul Heyman by his side, a spoiler has been out about the potential announcement that might come out on that night.

According to the reports of Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter Brock Lesnar will not go against any one of Kane and Braun Strowman at Royal Rumble 2018. Rather, it is going to be a triple threat match planned by the creative team for the prime title on the red brand.

“Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that current plans call for Brock Lesnar to defend the WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Kane in a triple threat match at the pay-per-view. Several ideas were reportedly pitched for the title bout, but Vince McMahon decided on the triple threat match.”

The Chairman of the company himself favours the scenario and it is not possible that any other idea will be entertained, for now, unless he himself alters the plan in the near future. It can be assumed that the match would be officially announced by the end of the next week's WWE Raw either by Heyman or the general manager, Kurt Angle.
