Bengaluru, December 14: The speculations about Daniel Bryan returning to in-ring action is in the rumour mill for a while now and as per recent updates, the Smackdown general manager is trying hard to convince the medical team of the WWE to let him return to wrestling.

The current storyline between Bryan and Shane McMahon is said to be heated up for that purpose. As part of the process, we now have received the main event match for the Clash of Champions where the commissioner and general manager will act as the special guest referees in the match where Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will team up against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Apparently, this is a creative angle for them that will later culminate a match between the two authority figures of Smackdown. But, before that there's a huge heel turn in store on the blue brand. According to the reports of cagesideseats.com, Shane McMahon will turn into a villain by virtue of this angle.

The commissioner will reach a certain stage where he will let his personal vendetta get the better of him than taking fair decisions and this would result in a potential heel turn for one of the most popular figures in all of the WWE.

Daniel Bryan is not at all happy with these recent heel-ish antics shown by the commissioner and has started going against him and this could result in a potential matchup between them which would the comeback match for the former leader of the YES nation. Meltzer provided some more updates on this huge return to the squared circle.

As per him, Smackdown GM will be back for wrestling a match at next edition of Summerslam in Brooklyn, New York. It is expected that the medical team of the WWE is likely to clear him for competing again by that time. It will also give him enough time to get over the ring rust process after being away from the ring for almost three years now.

It was also reported that there are chances that Daniel Bryan will continue to perform from that point onwards. But, he will not be a regular performer. A light schedule will be given to him so that he can feature in some marquee matches to sell out some of the PPVs.
