Reason behind Braun Strowman’s absence on this week’s Raw

New Delhi, Sep 2: At this time, Braun Strowman is the hottest thing in the WWE. Quite expectedly, he has got the chance to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at No Mercy. There has been no one in the company, till date who has manhandled the beast incarnate like Strowman did it, last week.
At Summerslam, the mountain among men was the reason why Brock Lesnar was taken out of the title match with a stretcher. This happened for the first time in his entire life.
If that was not all then the next night on Raw, he delivered an assault to the champion. This was a bigger occasion since Strowman did not come from behind but rather did it face-to-face.
So, it was the right decision to book him in a match against the champion. He is the most deserving candidate to get a title match. Plus, the audience also wants to witness this match with much anticipation. At the No Mercy PPV on September 24th, this battle between the two goliaths will go down.
Now, quite interestingly, Braun Strowman was not present at the bygone episode of Raw. This week’s episode was hosted at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee and witnessed an appearance from the beast incarnate. It was expected that Lesnar will get to seek his retribution on the contender for last week’s attack but he had to restrict himself with a promo.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter discussed the topic stating that the main reason behind Strowman’s absence was to keep him away from getting into another fight with the champion. This is apparently to protect the main event of No Mercy with less physical confrontation.
There’s no doubt that it is going to be a battle of two monsters at the PPV. But, the officials are not intending to give any preview before going into the event, itself. This year, the company has planned the No Mercy so that it is not treated as a B-show. Plus, this is a better use of Brock Lesnar who works only a limited dates in the WWE.
