Reason behind low ticket sales of WWE Elimination Chamber PPV

Bengaluru, February 25: WWE has tried its best to add the needed hype to the Elimination Chamber PPV with a historic tag attached to as both the main event matches are unique in their own way.

For the first ever time seven superstars will compete in the number one contender's match for the Universal Championship. Plus, we will also witness a first ever women's Elimination Chamber match at the event.

Hence, this will be a historic affair and this also led the event be the most anticipated one in the WWE recently. Plus, this show will also mark the last Raw-exclusive PPV before the Wrestlemania.

However, things do not look that good for the company as multiple reports suggest that the venue is still not sold out. Hence, an alternative plan was executed to give away the tickets.

AXS.com announced, a free ticket will be given to every fan who books a ticket through their website for the Elimination Chamber event. This indicates that there are still a lot of tickets to be sold. There's a good reason for this happen, though.

Despite stacking up the match card, one cannot deny the fact that the outcomes for the main event matches are extremely predictable. From the men's division match, Roman Reigns is the favorite to win and then headline Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar which is the main reason for fan backlash.

For the last few years, the tradition has been the same and there is very little chance that it will change. Hence, #cancelwwenetwork might again be trending after the Elimination Chamber PPV. The same can be said for the women's division matchup, as well as it is predictable that Alexa Bliss is a clear-cut winner to retain her championship.

Considering this, WWE decided to insert Ronda Rousey into the match card as well as Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt at the Raw-exclusive PPV event. However, no significant increase was observed in ticket sales. Hence, several twists are needed to make the event successful as a TV programme that will be telecasted live from Las Vegas.
