Bengalulru, April 21: The last time we have seen Stephanie McMahon was at Wrestlemania 33. She was accompanying her husband Triple H for his match against Seth Rollins. As addressed by WWE, she was injured after going through the table on that night. So, she would be on a hiatus for an indefinite span of time.
WWE Championship plans for summer
But, apparently, this was a complete kayfabe process to write off the Raw Commissioner from WWE Storyline. As per the latest reports, WWE creative got to know that Stephanie is scheduled to have a vacation once Wrestlemania is over.
Hence, they inserted the landing through the table into the contest at the very end. The bump was projected as a nasty one on the television so that the injury can be portrayed as a legit one.
Dave Meltzer has stated in Wrestling Observer Radio that Stephanie is spending some time in the Turks and Caicos Beaches Resort and Caicos Islands. She has been accompanied by friends and family. After she had been extremely busy during the Wrestlemania season, this was a much-deserved one.
Her absence forced Vince McMahon to appoint a new General Manager on Raw, Kurt Angle. He will be in sole in-charge of the show until Stephanie gets back to television.
There is no update as of when the Billion Dollar Princess would return. But, it is likely that this should not take longer time. Apparently, the Payback PPV is just two weeks away and Kurt would be given charge of the show. Upon the conclusion of it, the commissioner would be back evaluating his performance.
Quite predictably, Stephanie would go after Seth Rollins right after her comeback. He was the one responsible for her bump through the table. Plus, she will reunite with a man on workplace with whom she's got a lot of chemistry with.
It would be very interesting to see how this relationship between the commissioner and the new GM turns out to be considering their history. These two and Triple H once involved in a romantic triangle to headline Wrestlemania. There are chances of reincarnating that storyline, once again.
