Bengaluru, November 30: For the most part of November WWE's prime focus was the Survivor Series PPV and as it was the last dual brand PPV of the year, WWE hosted it in the biggest way possible to make it worthy to watch.
Big names were involved in the storyline perspective to deliver some jam-packed editions of WWE Raw, consecutively.
The effort of the creative team was reflected on the TV ratings as it saw a huge boot. But, on November 19th we were done with the dual brand PPV which led the big names to take a break and their absence was felt on this week’s edition of the flagship show.
The past edition of Monday Night Raw turned out to be a lackluster one due to the missing superstars.
Two of the regular names from the roster missed the show. It was one member of The Shield, Dean Ambrose, and one-half of the tag team champions, Sheamus.
We expected to see the WWE Raw tag team titles on the line this week. But, with one member of both the contenders and champions team missing the match was canceled.
Dean Ambrose’s absence was hugely felt, since he is known as a workhorse who has wrestled in the company for the past three years without a break.
The latter one was also absent from both Raw and Smackdown, this week. These two tied the knot earlier this year in a private ceremony and finally took a much-needed time-off.
Sheamus, on the other hand, took his yearly sabbatical to visit his home country, Ireland leaving his partner, Cesaro, alone. Both these superstars will be back next week when WWE Raw goes to Hollywood. Their respective teams will feature in a tag team championship match at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
