Result of second WWE Mixed Challenge Match on Facebook

Bengaluru, January 24: The team of the Miz and Asuka defeated the team of Carmella and Big E in the second contest of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge which is a Facebook live exclusive on Tuesday (January 23).

The tradition of the Mixed Match Challenge via Facebook started last week where we saw the team of Sasha Banks and Finn Balor win the first match of the challenge. This week after the Smackdown Live show, the second match took place between the team of Asuka-The Miz and Carmella-Big E.

Now, if any superstar has the momentum by his side, for now, it’s none other than The Miz. He dethroned a strong champion in Roman Reigns from the Intercontinental crown on WWE Raw to win the title for the eighth time. Plus, the undefeated Asuka partners him with a lot of confidence.

So, there was no way that his team was going to lose the mixed tag team action. Being the second team of the tournament, they entered the third round of the series starting as one of the favourites to win the contest after 12 rounds. Big E and Carmella showed up first to a big reception from the crowd. While, The Miz and Asuka followed their opponents to subdued reaction.

Both the teams added a lot of hype to the match with promos of their own.

The Miz and Big E kicked off the match and The New Day member started rolling with his funny antics as the crowd fired him up with the New Day Rocks chants. But The Miz tagged Asuka that led Carmella to enter the ring after which the former NXT superstar took over.

Big E handed a Big L under the ring to Carmella which was broken by Asuka. Miss Money in the Bank tagged her partner which forced The Miz to enter the match, again. The Intercontinental Champion was quick to take control with a big DDT but the pinfall was broken by Carmella.

This led Asuka to enter the match and take Carmella down. Afterwards, Asuka picked up the win by virtue of the following altercation, (courtesy wrestleview.com)

"Asuka gets the tag and eats a huge kick from Carmella when Miz was trying to fire up Asuka from the ring apron. Carmella with stomps to Asuka in the corner. Asuka with a series of shots to Carmella and then a big kick to the face. Asuka gets the armbar locked on Carmella. Carmella taps out."

Rusev and Lana were watching the entire match in the backstage. Next week, it will be the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman to take on the team of Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch. Ater the match, The Miz gloated on their victory promising to dominate Mixed Match Challenge contest.
