Result of second quarter-final of WWE Mixed Match Challenge

Bengaluru, March 7: The Mixed Match challenge tradition started back in January and it is a first-ever show hosted exclusively on Facebook Watch.

In the first round we witnessed six matches comprising both WWE Raw and Smackdown superstars. From last week onwards, we moved to the next round that is the quarter-final matches kicked off.

The first match took place between Asuka and The Miz vs. Sasha Banks and Finn Balor. As WWE wants to keep the undefeated streak of Asuka intact, the first team picked up the win and headed to the semi-final.

The second match in the quarter-final series took place, last night after Smackdown Live. As per the schedule, the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman faced the team of Jimmy Uso and Naomi. The team from WWE Raw came out first and then the team from Smackdown Live followed them. Naomi showed concerns over the fact that her partner will have to face the monster among men.

The men started off the match with Strowman dominating the early part. He literally squashed Jimmy with a splash on the turnbuckle. Bliss instructed him to finish the job soon. So, he went for his pendant powerslam move. But, Jimmy escaped and tagged in Naomi. This brought the former Smackdown women’s championship do up against Alexa Bliss.

The current WWE Raw women’s champion slapped Naomi. This forced the latter one to hit her with a corner splash. Meanwhile, Jimmy connected with a cheap shot on Strowman and followed it with a superkick. But, Strowman remained on his feet and caught Bliss right in his hands after Naomi kicked her off the apron.

Jimmy Uso suffered the consequence for laying his hands on Strowman as the match was finished quickly, right after this in the following manner, (courtesy WWE.com)

By virtue of this win, the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman has moved on to the semi-finals of Mixed Match Challenge. The contest will continue next week with two teams of Smackdown superstars. Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair will team up against Rusev and Lana.
