Result of sixth WWE Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook

Bengaluru, February 21: For the past five weeks, Mixed Match Challenge is a regular show in the WWE schedule and it is hosted every week in a live format after Smackdown Live. This is the first interactive show on Facebook Watch hosted by the company which started from January 16th.

The teams that have advanced to the second round of the tournament till now are Sasha Banks-Finn Balor, The Miz-Asuka, Alexa Bliss-Braun Strowman, Jimmy Uso-Naomi and Rusev-Lana.

Last night was the sixth and final match of the first round of the tournament, the team of Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode took on the team of Apollo and Nia Jax.

Enzo was originally supposed to be Nia's teammate but due to his suspension, Apollo was inserted into the contest. Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode entered the arena first and were soon followed by Apollo and Nia Jax. The members of the Titus Worldwide, Titus, and Dana Brooke also accompanied them into the ring.

Bobby Roode and Apollo started the match in a funny way. The US Champion delivered some chops to Apollo’s chest to keep him down. Then he wanted to do the Flair struts, perfectly and got Charlotte teach him how to do it. It was a fun segment for the crowd.

The mood changed as Nia Jax was tagged in. Charlotte was put down by the Samoan superstar in quick time by a boot. Nia delivered an elbow-drop but failed to gain the pinfall. Charlotte wanted to counter with some quick moves when Dana Brooke and Titus distracted her.

This led Nia to tell them to stay out of the contest often. Charlotte put Nia down with a figure-four leg-lock and made a tag to Roode who finished the match pinning Apollo in the following way,

“When Roode and Apollo reentered to once again battle it out, The Glorious One gained an advantage, and Nia was forced to join the fray to break up a pin. Moments later, as Roode lifted his knee to stop Apollo’s assault in its tracks, Charlotte managed to drop Nia off the ropes. The Queen then followed up with a Moonsault on Nia as Roode hit the Glorious DDT on Apollo for the huge three-count.”

Charlotte and Bobby Roode celebrated their victory in the ring as we saw Nia Jax show her frustration towards the members of Titus Worldwide. She cut a heel promo on this group before pushing Apollo on Titus O’Neil. Dana Brooke tried to put some resistance but got planted with a Samoan Drop to end this week’s Mixed Match Challenge show.
