Result of third WWE Mixed Match Challenge contest on Facebook

Bengaluru, January 31: For the last couple of weeks, we are getting a new show on WWE programme just after the Smackdown Live show goes off the air. A path-breaking idea was innovated by the officials to host a show comprising of Mixed Tag Team matches exclusively on Facebook. This is the first-ever pro-wrestling show to be hosted on the social media platform in a live format.

In case you have forgotten, two such matches have taken place in the last two weeks. Sasha Banks-Finn Balor and The Miz-Asuka have emerged victorious and headed to the second round. They have defeated the teams of Natalya-Shinsuke Nakamura and Big E-Carmella, respectively.

Last night, we witnessed the third match in the series. As given in the schedule, the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman competed against the team of Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn. The team from Smackdown came out first. The fans voted on Facebook willing to watch Becky starting the match.

Hence, she started the contest with the Wicked Witch of the WWE getting 69% of votes. The former women’s champion was rolling from the get-go going for multiple roll-ups. Bliss was not getting any sort of upper hand after which she decided to tag in her partner.

This forced Sami Zayn to enter the contest, as well. But, he refused to compete against the monster among men and tagged back to his partner, Becky Lynch. Meanwhile, Sami continued poking Strowman throughout the match forcing the behemoth to come down and throw him onto the fans. Inside the ring, the reigning WWE Raw women’s champion finished off the contest in the following way, (courtesy WWE.com)

“After Bliss hurled Lynch into the ring post and Strowman launched Zayn over the ring barrier and into the WWE Universe, The Monster Among Men tagged his pint-sized partner. In a stunning finish, Bliss climbed onto Strowman’s shoulders and executed an earth-shattering Twisted Bliss off her partner and onto Becky for the victory!”

Once the match was over, Renee Young interviewed both the winners who seemed pretty confident to win the first-ever Mixed Match Challenge contest. It was announced that an injured Alicia Fox will be replaced by Mandy Rose in this MMC series. She will team up with Goldust to take on Jimmy Uso and Naomi, next week.
