Roman Reigns has arguably established himself as perhaps the greatest pro wrestler of this generation if not of all time. WWE has solidified his status as the next Brock Lesnar who enjoys a sporadic schedule on his own rights.
While there have been controversies over this light booking despite him carrying the Undisputed WWE Universal Title for so long, many fans feel that he has earned the right to make such sporadic appearances on WWE television.

There has been a time when Roman Reigns continuously wrestled for the most number of matches in a calendar year back in 'The Big Dog' days. As that babyface gimmick is long gone, he's now entitled to miss shows including the Premium Live Events.
It's already been confirmed that The Head of the Table will be competing at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, putting his undisputed title on the line, but his status until WrestleMania 40 remains undisclosed.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed light on Roman Reigns' schedule for 2024. The veteran journalist noted that he will not be seen at Elimination Chamber in Australia or Backlash in France.
Both these two above-mentioned events will be international outings for the WWE and the top attraction won't be there. It was additionally informed that after Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40, Roman will be back for the next Saudi Arabian show and SummerSlam.
"Romans gonna be wrestling at the Royal Rumble and then his next big match... He could do a TV match but he's gonna wrestle at the Royal Rumble and then his next match is gonna be his WrestleMania match. After that, I would presume it's gonna be Saudi and SummerSlam."
Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight in a Fatal-4-Way at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 27th from the Tropicana Field in Orlando, Florida.
As for WrestleMania 40, the second match with Cody Rhodes has long been rumoured to be in the pipeline and that plan hasn't changed despite the return of The Rock who's also gunning for Roman and his undisputed title.
