Royal Rumble 2024: Multiple WWE Legends will be in town to attend PLE

WWE Royal Rumble 2024 will kick things off for the WrestleMania 40 season and going by the looks, it's gearing up to be an exciting show filled with unprecedented set of happening. As always, there will be room for potential surprise entrants.

While nothing has duly been confirmed at this point, three huge names will be in town to attend the show. According to PWInsider Elite, three names - The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, and Rey Mysterio will be backstage for the PLE.

The Undertaker is scheduled to host the latest episode of the "One DeadMan Show" on January 28, the day after the Royal Rumble. It doesn't seem like he will be appearing at The Rumble event, at this point.

Michelle McCool will surely accompany her husband, The Undertaker like on past occasions. Since she has made multiple appearances in the Women's Royal Rumble, one can't rule out another such surprise entrance as part of the 30-star fray.

As for Rey Mysterio, he has been sidelined with a leg injury since last year's November, but there are speculations that he might return as part of the Men's Royal Rumble match although it's not confirmed.

In addition to these legends, some more surprise entrants are being speculated for Royal Rumble, including the names of Naomi (Trinity Fatu) and Brock Lesnar. Even former DX member X-Pac is also in the conversation.

Royal Rumble 2024 event will feature both men's and women's Royal Rumble matches, alongside a fatal-4-way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, where Roman Reigns will defend against LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton.

In a recent report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the upcoming edition of Royal Rumble is expected to become the most-watched event in WWE history, allowing the company to set records with each passing by PLEs.

The increment in Peacock subscribers, thanks to the NFL broadcasting a wild card playoff game on the streaming service earlier in the month, should come into play and it will play a key factor in the viewers' surge in the WWE.

The WWE 2024 Royal Rumble premium live event will occur on Saturday, January 27 from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. This will be the annual 37th event under the January spectacle's chronology.
